New Birth

Imagine if, beginning tomorrow, the whole world knew/believed/accepted the fact that God loves them. What would happen? The result would look like a completely frozen and dark world, coming out of an ice age. Picture the sun hitting it for the first time. The darkness and the ice surprised by even the existence of the light and warmth, let alone the intervention. You start to hear noises like crackling and breaking, as the cruel, bondage of a surface, is disturbed and defeated. What looks almost painfully refreshing, is a world taking its first breath. As the ice melts, you can finally see the colors of beautiful trees, flowers, fields, and mountains, as they smile and dance to the rhythm of the wind; thankful to be free, glad to find their purpose. The snow and the ice were transformed into tears of joy. These tears begin to develop into streams of living water and become so heated by the Sun, that they begin to flow everywhere and melt any ice that they come into contact with. The rivers turn into unstoppable rapids as they join forces. The end result, is a worldwide flood; every tongue, every tribe, every nation. A couple of dispensations ago, God destroyed the world with a flood. Very soon, there will be another flood; but this time with living water, bringing many sons and daughters to glory...  But as truly as I live, all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD (Num. 14:21).
The amazing thing is, this whole scene takes place, with every heart that receives Jesus. Frozen in the darkness of sin, one has no eternal hope. But the love of God, shining into that heart, brings it to life. With life, it finds purpose, and the heart that was once frozen, goes out to melt many others. The solemn thing is, we are not waiting for the world to see the light, they are waiting for us to bring it to them. They're frozen, we're supposed to be flowing... They're locked, we have the key... They're dying, we have the cure...
Jesus, who is the Light, was very clear...
(Jn. 1:4) In him was life; and the life was the light of men. (Lk. 11:35) Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness. (Mt. 5:14-16) Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. (2 Cor. 4:6) For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. (Ezek. 43:2) And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like a noise of many waters: and the earth shined with his glory.
